Yleiskatsaus
War is a simple card game of pure luck for two players, popular with children. Players flip cards simultaneously, and the higher card wins both. In case of ties, a 'war' breaks out. Play continues until one player has all 52 cards.
Aloitus
Shuffle a standard 52-card deck and deal all cards face-down, 26 to each player. Players stack their cards without looking at them.
Miten pelataan
- Both players simultaneously flip their top card face-up.
- The player with the higher card wins both cards and places them at the bottom of their stack.
- Card ranks (high to low): A, K, Q, J, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2.
- If both cards are equal rank, 'War' is declared.
- In War: each player places three cards face-down, then one card face-up.
- The higher face-up card wins all cards in the War (including the face-down cards).
- If the War cards tie, repeat the War process.
- Continue until one player has all 52 cards.

Win by capturing all 52 cards. There is no strategy - the game is determined entirely by the shuffle.
