Naval Battle is a guessing game of naval strategy for two players. Each player secretly positions a fleet of ships on a grid, then players take turns calling shots to locate and sink the opponent's ships. The first to sink all enemy ships wins.
Historie
Naval Battle grew out of pencil-and-paper games played in the early 20th century, known as Salvo and Sea Battle, with fleets drawn on squared paper. It became one of the best-known two-player guessing games, played on paper, boards and screens.

Strategi
Don't cluster your ships
Spread them out to avoid giving up multiple ships to lucky shots.
Avoid placing ships along edges early in play
It's a common beginner pattern.
When you get a hit, focus adjacent squares to find the ship's orientation.
Ships are at least 2 squares long
A hit tells you there's at least one more square.
Use a hunting pattern to cover the board efficiently (every other square).
Track which ships are sunk to know what lengths remain.
