boardgames.zone is a free, browser-based multiplayer board games platform. The Service allows users to play board games (including Tic-Tac-Toe, Connect Four, Checkers, and others as they become available) online with other players in real-time. The Service includes features such as leaderboards, player ratings, game history, and game analysis.

3. Account Responsibilities

If you create an account, you are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• All activity that occurs under your account.
• Providing accurate information during registration.
• Notifying us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

You may delete your account at any time through the Settings page. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Cheat: Use bots, scripts, external engines, or any automated tools to gain an unfair advantage in games.
• Harass: Engage in harassment, abuse, threats, or discrimination against other players through any means (display names, game behavior, etc.).
• Exploit: Attempt to exploit bugs, vulnerabilities, or weaknesses in the platform for any purpose. If you discover a vulnerability, please report it to us responsibly.
• Impersonate: Pretend to be another person or use a misleading display name intended to deceive other users.
• Disrupt: Intentionally disrupt the service, including DDoS attacks, flooding, or any action that degrades performance for other users.
• Manipulate Ratings: Create multiple accounts, collude with other players, or deliberately lose games to manipulate the rating system.
• Scrape or Harvest: Use automated tools to scrape data from the platform without authorization.

Violation of these rules may result in temporary or permanent suspension of your account and/or access to the Service.

5. Intellectual Property

The boardgames.zone platform, including its design, graphics, interface, code, and branding, is the property of boardgames.zone and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service without our written permission.

The board games themselves (e.g., Checkers) are the property of their respective creators and publishers. boardgames.zone provides digital implementations for entertainment purposes.

6. User Content

By using the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and store content you create on the platform (such as your display name, game moves, and feedback) for the purpose of operating and improving the Service. Game records may be used for analytics, leaderboards, and replay features.

7. Limitation of Liability

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in that jurisdiction.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
