Senet is one of the oldest known board games, played in ancient Egypt over 5,000 years ago. It's a race game for two players combining luck and strategy. Players move their pieces along a 30-square board based on throwing sticks.
Geschichte
Senet boards have been found in Egyptian tombs dating to 3100 BCE, including King Tut's. The game had religious significance and was associated with the journey to the afterlife.
Strategie
Protect valuable pieces by keeping friendly pieces adjacent.
The House of Water (square 28) is dangerous
Avoid landing there.
Use the special squares strategically
Don't waste turns on unavoidable landings.
Occupy the House of Rebirth (square 15) to send drowned opponent pieces even further back.
Timing is everything
Sometimes it's better to advance slow pieces than fast ones.
The extra turns from rolling 1, 4, or 5 can be game-changing.
