Foot sur Papier

Règles complètes & Guide stratégique

Aperçu

Paper Soccer (or Paper Football) is a pencil-and-paper strategy game where players draw lines on a grid to move a ball toward the opponent's goal. The unique bouncing mechanic - continuing your turn when hitting used paths - creates exciting chain moves.

Objectif

Kick the ball into your opponent's goal by drawing a connected path of moves.

Mise en place

The field is drawn on graph paper, typically 8x10 squares with goals (2-square wide) centered on the short edges. The ball starts at the center point of the field.

Comment jouer

  1. Players take turns drawing lines from the ball to an adjacent point (8 directions: orthogonal + diagonal).
  2. Each line represents the ball moving in that direction.
  3. If your line ends on a point that already has lines connected to it, you 'bounce' and continue your turn.
  4. Bounces chain together - keep moving as long as you land on used points.
  5. If your line ends on a fresh point with no other connections, your turn ends.
  6. Lines cannot cross each other or retrace existing lines.
  7. The goal lines count as existing lines for bouncing purposes.
  8. You cannot move through the boundary of the field.

Gagner la partie

Win by moving the ball into your opponent's goal. The game can also end in a draw if the ball gets completely trapped with no legal moves.

Conseils stratégiques

  • *Set up bouncing opportunities off the sidelines for powerful combo moves.
  • *Don't leave easy paths for your opponent toward your goal.
  • *The center of the field is safest; edges create bouncing opportunities.
  • *Plan several moves ahead - the best moves set up future bounces.
  • *Block your opponent's attack routes while advancing your own position.
  • *Near the goals, every move is critical - calculate carefully.
  • *Sometimes a defensive move that blocks opponent's bounces is better than attacking.

Histoire

Paper Soccer has been a popular pencil-and-paper game in Europe (especially Poland) since the mid-20th century. It requires no special equipment and offers deep strategic play.
