カナスタを学ぶ: ルール

4人 · 45〜90分 · ほどよい難しさ

目的

Score points by melding sets of cards, especially canastas (7 cards of a kind). First team to 5,000 points wins.

概要

Canasta is a partnership melding game using two standard decks plus jokers (108 cards). Players collect sets of seven cards ('canastas') while strategically managing wild cards and the discard pile. It was a major fad in the 1950s and remains popular.

セットアップ

Use two standard decks plus four jokers (108 cards). 4 players in partnerships. Deal 11 cards each. Place the deck face-down and turn one card up to start the discard pile.

遊び方

  1. Draw: Take two cards from the stock, or take the entire discard pile if you can immediately meld its top card.
  2. Meld: Lay down sets of 3+ cards of the same rank. Wild cards (2s and jokers) can substitute but can't exceed the natural cards in a meld.
  3. To take the discard pile, you must have two natural cards of the top card's rank in your hand (or it's locked/frozen with special conditions).
  4. A canasta is a meld of 7+ cards. A 'natural' canasta (no wilds) scores 500; a 'mixed' canasta scores 300.
  5. You must have at least one canasta to 'go out' (empty your hand).
  6. Going out scores a bonus and ends the hand.
  7. Initial meld requirement: First meld of the hand must reach point thresholds based on your team's current score.

勝利条件

Score points for melds (card values), canastas (300-500 each), and going out (100). Deduct points for cards left in hand. First to 5,000 points wins.

戦略のヒント

The discard pile is crucial - build hands that can capture it.
Freezing the pile (with a wild card or black three) limits opponents' options.
Natural canastas are worth more - avoid overusing wild cards.
Don't rush to go out - accumulate more canastas if you're winning the hand.
Black threes are defensive cards - they block the pile temporarily.
Red threes are automatic bonus points (but penalize you if unmelded).

歴史

Canasta originated in Uruguay around 1939 and spread rapidly through South America. It reached the United States in 1949 and became an enormous fad, rivaling Bridge in popularity during the early 1950s.
